The School Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing front office operations, handling communications, and supporting the daily administrative functions of the school in a professional and welcoming manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist students, parents, visitors, and staff courteously and professionally.
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other inquiries.
- Maintain visitor logs and follow school security procedures.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries.
- Manage student attendance records, late arrivals, and early dismissals.
- Provide administrative support including filing, data entry, photocopying, and scheduling.
- Maintain accurate student and staff records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Assist with communication between parents, teachers, and administration.
- Support school events, meetings, and activities as needed.
- Monitor front office supplies and place orders when necessary.
- Handle emergencies and respond appropriately according to school policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Previous receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Salary:
Salary is based on experience, qualifications, and school district guidelines.
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
